ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT TRAINING
Our athletic development training programs focus on the development of the physical qualities that underpin all sports, and are essential for optimising sports performance while reducing injury rates. Students develop qualities such as speed, strength, mobility/stability, endurance, agility and coordination. All of our programs are run through St. Andrew’s Anglican College Gym and Noosa Springs Resort and are open to all students throughout the Sunshine Coast, no matter their level, experience or age. Classes run from Monday through Friday during term, both before and after school, as well specialised programs throughout the school holidays.
SEMI PRIVATE TRAINING
This program is specifically designed for high-level athletes of any age, plus those needing to rehabilitate from injury, or anyone looking for a more personalised approach. Prior to each class, athletes have their programs created and ready to go. Throughout the class, athletes run through their individualised programs under the guidance of our coach. Track your progress, monitor training loads and get the specialised training you need to maximise results.
YAD LVL 1 [AGES 11-14]
Small group training where athletes learn the fundamentals of gym training, helping them improve their health and fitness while also developing their sporting performance and reducing risk of injury.
YAD LVL 2 [AGES 14-17]
Small group training that builds off the Lvl 1 program. Athletes further continue their development with training principles specific to each individual as they continue to develop and mature. We utilise more complex and specific training strategies in the Lvl 2 program, improving athlete’s health and fitness while also improving their sporting performance and reducing risk of injury.
SPORT SPEED & AGILITY
Sport Speed & Agility will have youth athletes sprinting, accelerating, changing direction and moving faster, all while reducing chances of injury. The program is specifically designed for all field and court based sports, including rugby, netball, tennis, soccer, volleyball, AFL and basketball. We focus on teaching proper sprinting mechanics and developing speed to have youth athletes out-performing their competition. Athletes develop these skills through specific drills and games. All Sport Speed & Agility sessions are group-based field training classes that run for one hour.
